The Editors
We are your editors. Are you there, John? “We celebrate birthdays at this meeting, which we define as three hundred and sixty-five consecutive days, nights and weekends.” For one year we’ve been on mission to spill buckets of paint all over it calling it thesis.
Our forefathers said pragmatism is the corridor. Lotringer said he was more American than the Americans because we weren’t pragmatic enough. The gall! Still, he may’ve been on to something, and we’ve kept our ears open. Like hotel walls, we’ve been listening to the room.
We do so with mirth and joy. It’s fun. It’s been fun to have fun. We spent too much money. Who hasn’t? Hello, John? Rory’s into puppetry now… Dane’s a hobby poet now… not sure what that says about us. There have been some successes—and more than that failures, which we call “learning” of course. Only half of us have published ourselves, which over the course of a year is surely an honest rate. Find us elsewhere. Find everyone else here.
